Fate of a Failed Dragon
Book 1: The Final Hero
My primary project and one that I’m putting the most work toward. The first draft is written in its entirety, and I’m in the draft 2 phase. However, this project is temporarily on hold (except for some tweaks to the first half of the book) while I work on a novella (see below)!
In the meantime, I'm fixing some foundational issues with the primary villain and world structure now that the magic is changing. All in all I think it will lead to a much more cohesive story, but right now there are definitely some growing pains. By in large the changes are to rip out aging pieces of a nearly 10-years-old story which have lingered for too long.

In draft 3, I'll comb through the story and make it sound good. Sentence structure, word choice, grammar, that sort of thing. After that, I’ll be sending The Final Hero out to beta readers with a feedback outline to ask questions, check for consistency and plot holes, and gauge interest. That will inevitably bring on a draft 4, and after all of that I’ll send the story out to a much larger audience. Once that’s done, it’s off to an agent!
Book 2
This is currently in the planning phase along with book 3. I’m much further along with planning this story than book 3, and have most of the story beats and the finale for each perspective character.
Book 2 Outline: 43% done!
Which is coming right along. Obviously I’m putting the majority of my writing time towards writing book 1, but book 2 is certainly under constant thought and consideration. I have a lot more perspective viewpoints to manage and plan for in this story (more than the three that are in book 1) as things really pick up plot-wise.
Witness for the Dead
This is a novella I'm writing which started as a far too ambitious short story in my writing group! I loved the idea, and I'm excited to share it on here once it's done! It's a mystery about a necromancer and a legion strangely dead.
Draft 1: 63% done!
Once it's done, I'll do a quick once-through for draft 2 and then post it! I'm still trying to decide whether I want to split it up or not.
