So, you’ve just started a long-awaited project, and want to throw together a website for it. You pick out a domain from the shrinking list of English, available, and comprehensible ones and get to work. Then you land here, wondering why the HTML you embedded keeps reverting.
That’s about where I stopped today in working on this website. We’ve come a long way since the olden days of having to write our own sites in HTML/CSS and host them on our private computers. Now there are sites like Squarespace, Wix, and of course WordPress that offer a plethora of drag-and-drop options to create your personalized website.
Honestly, this blog post was supposed to just be a temporary measure to replace the default ones, but now that I think about this I feel like there might be something to say. But because I’m not sure whether I’ll keep this site format at all, I’ll leave you with this:
Creation is an incredible, magical, God-inspired thing that every human being should have a part in. Whether it’s stories, art, music, or even cooking, we all have the inherent need to create, and I encourage you to follow that desire. Just…be aware that there will be things that get in your way.
Create because you should, not because you’d make money from it, or gain some notoriety, or even impress someone. Find your talents–trust me, you have some–and use them.
That’ll be all for today. I’m off to relax.
